Way to go Israel!

For those who are unaware (Which I hope amounts to none), Israel has launched attacks against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.  Hamas militants have been launching rockets almost hourly into Israel, killing and terrorizing innocent people, so in response the Israeli government has taken appropriate actions and used it's military to remedy the situation.  Way to go! That is why we have governments.
The strange part in all this the U.S. media although not explicity taking a side in the issue, has slanted nearly every article and news report on the events as if Israel has done something wrong!?  Please take some time read up on what is happening overseas, despite what you may think it will effect the U.S.

Something New

Since I will shortly have an abundance of time on my hands I have set a goal to train myself so that I can compete in an Adventure Race. I have convinced my younger brother to team up with me, and it would be awesome to find to more people and run a 4 person team. The main reason why I am posting this here is because now I am truly committed to this goal being that it is public knowledge. Please pray that I do not injure myself :).

Movie Reviews

Last night me and Melissa sat down together and watched Expelled by Ben Stein.  Wow, everyone should see this movie!  It is a great documentary on the debate between Intelligent design and evolution (It never really gets down into detail of either theory, it just shows how the scientific community refuses to treat ID with any legitimacy.) If you have netflix you can watch it online through the watch it now feature.
The number one thing I learned is that Dawkins is a complete moron!  Here is a guy who is so into evolution he thinks people with a belief in any God are morons, but is willing to consider that aliens seeded the beginnings of life on this planet (This is what the world considers a very smart man?!)

On a final note, I havnt been blogging much and here is why.  I am tired, Doctors have me on some medications that make me sleepy and I prefer to spend my awake hours with my family.  Expect more from me sometime in Febuary.

Merry Christmas

Diversity Vomit

In case it is not painfully obvious some people may be offended by this post.  However the celebrate diversity concept is sickening, and another one of the horrible things wrong with our politically correct society.  There is nothing wrong with being different from others (If that was the case I would have been locked up long ago), however the idea of celebrating peoples difference especially when those differences are at times a slap in the face to God... well that's just dum with a capital "M."

Here is a brilliant example. People have gone so far in their efforts to hate all things Christian that in Washington (The nest state in the U.S. mind you) some Atheist has gone so far as to get a display decrying Christianity as false displayed with the nativity scene at the capital building!  Seriously!? They have a word for that in the English language it's Absurd!  If the the Atheist want a display who all else gets one? Now some want a poster that tells kids that Santa is here to take them to Hell, and some a Festivus Poll.

Atheists this next sentence is for you.  "Get a life!" We know you don't believe in God, if you want to proclaim it with a sign that is all well and good too, you have that right, but why on a Holiday where we celebrate the birth of Christ, and where was the claim against Allah during the month of Ramadan?  that's right Muslims don't love they kill so you respect them.

Patriotism

It has been on my mind to discuss this subject for some time.  Certainly patriotism's application will be different for each individual, but the definition is concrete:

-- devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty.

I'm not going to make the claim that a person needs to serve in the military in order to be a patriot, but if you really want to understand this concept it helps.  Patriotism and it's application really come down to one concept that is a little easier for most to understand, sacrifice.  The time you sacrifice in the polling booth is patriotic, sacrificing more money in order to purchase the American made version of an item is patriotic.  Think about it, if you truly love something or someone is not sacrifice the true measure by which that love is displayed?

The greatest sacrifice, life.  A gracious God once said "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."  The men of the armed forces understand this idea better then any!  We place our lives in harms way, sometimes making the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  Not just our country but the ideals of our country, the declaration that "All men are created Equal," the freedoms guaranteed us by the Constitution, we fight proudly so that people can shout ideas we hate...  freely!

I myself have never had to sacrifice as much as some, but I understand sacrifice.  I've sat shoulder to shoulder with patriotic men in a bunker while my chest reverberated with the explosions of mortars aimed at ending not just my life but the American way of life.  I have loaded my bags into a friends car in order to defend this country while my 2 year old son beat his fists on the door of the house yelling "Dada, don't go!"  These are not things a man does for himself, these sacrifices are made for others.

I will continue to sacrifice even for those who tell the world that they support the troops, and then label my actions as immoral saying I fight in a illegal war, those who have no pride in their country, and those who have never sacrificed a thing for this country.

     I am a Patriot!

It's over

The election is over! That is great I was so sick of things, and now that the democrats have won I can finally shed the shackles of capitalism and without fear of the vast right wing conspiracy celebrate my new socialist masters!

In all seriousness, congratulations to Obama and Biden although I do not agree with them on almost any issue I will pray for them as the assume leadership of this country.

January 1st change is coming, and we can all finally get the hover cars we were promised after the Korean war, and I can't wait until Obama teaches us all to fart rainbows.

AP News Briefs from 2010?

     Fox News Acquired By MSNBC

Thanks in part to our countries most magnificent leaders policies on hate and slander Fox News has been bought out by MSNBC.  Using the imminent domain laws which were recently extended to include broadcast companies, and the hateful news headlines be broadcast by the Fox News group against Homosexuality, and the Racist accusations against President Obama MSNBC is now in control of Fox and all its subsidery broadcasters.

     Republican party has disbanded

It has been a difficult 2 years for the GOP, and now an annoucement has been made that the party will be disbanding as of October 2010. Following the disastorous elections of 2008 the party fractured, into two distinct conservative groups.  Those who's message of hate and intolerance carried that the evil President Bush into office, and the the fiscal conservatives who understand the message of tolerance and its importance in the 21st century.  The message of intolerance met the will of the people in 2008 and now have done the honorable thing stepping out of the political circle, leaving the fiscal conservatives with too few members to continue as a major political party.

     Spreading the Wealth

President Obama with the help of his ecomic team has begun to fill his promise to take from the evil rich and give to the poor and down trodden.  BBC world news has linked money distrubution and government controlled banking laws to voter registration.  They are alleging that our good and moral leader is using his influence to reward only those that registered as democrats during the 2008 elections.

     Children Praise our President

Many schools across our country are working together through government funded grants to produce a special event to honor the great things President Obama has done for education system.  It has been said that Obama's sweeping educational reforms starting with his 0-5 education plan (Now mandatory in the cultural wonders of New York and California) will soon have our children out competing China and even N. Korea.

Later this week...

Things the Associated Press considers Racist

HOW DARE THEY!  You Racist GOP you!  I think Obama's campaign must be racist they are accusing McCain of trying to get to the White House.  Clearly a racist codeword.  What will they think of next?

How much did you lose to accept Christ?

How Dangerous is Faith?

I'm currently reading a book called The End of Faith, it's the kind of book where another atheist makes an attempt to "kill God."  Every once in a while I like to read something like this just to see if any of the ideas are new or if it's all the same stuff rehashed in a new format (for this book the latter would be true.)

What really stood out to me was this statement, aside from being completely absurd it holds the key to many an atheists logic (well at least many of them that I have met.)

"...the culprit is clearly the doctrine of faith itself.  Whenever a man imagines that he need only believe the truth of a proposition, without evidence-that unbelievers will go to hell, that Jews drink the blood of infants-he becomes capable of anything." ---The End of Faith, page 85

     Let us disregard the off beat comment about Jews here and focus on the problem with this logic.  Christians do not have faith without evidence, at least not all of us!  An atheist once told me that it is impossible to find proof for God, that evidence for God destroys faith.  Sort of like the Babble fish (The following quoted from the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy written by Douglas Adams;

Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this:

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that You do exist, and so therefore, by Your own arguments, You don't. Q.E.D."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God.  Atheists(At least a good amount I have met) truly think that is what God has said, maybe not in those words, but they think that comment sums up Biblical statements like Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

What people discount is the many Bible versus that attribute the greatness of creation to God.  They discount the eye witness accounts to Jesus' death and resurrection.  Christians can have evidence that supports faith, it is okay, and I firmly believe that God prefers it that way.

It saddens me that people will read this book and trumpet it as a great literary work.  Many already have including book reviewers for the New York Times, The Guardian, and The Economist.  I hope they truly made a mistake when they said things like "...I felt relieved when I read it, vindicated..."

Statements like this should never bring feeling of relief:

"The Gravity of Jewish suffering over the ages, culminating in the Holocaust, makes it almost impossible to entertain any suggestion that Jews might have brought their troubles upon themselves.  This is, however in a rather narrow sense, the truth."---The End of Faith, page 93

The Holocaust is the fault of the Jewish people?!  This is a relieving thought to Natalie Angier of the New York Times.  I am sorry my money went to support this man, but I am encouraged to see no matter how much times change the argument against God will always be the same and always be wrong.

Race in light of POTUS 08

I'm am going to say some things in my post today that are hard.  Hard to say and hard to hear, but need to be said.  Despite how far society has come since the days of segregation this election has been made into a racial issue.  Those making it a racial issue are not the angry white voters who are members of fringe organizations, in fact I have not seen one news article or video from hate groups protesting a black man in the running for presidency.  It has been made a racial issue by blacks, even prominent members of black society.

Let’s say Barack Obama wins, and 30 years down the line, you’re a black
Republican or black conservative, and your grandkid comes to you and
says, “Did you vote for Obama?” It’s going to be hard to argue why you
didn’t.
-- George Mason University Professor Michael Fauntroy, author of Republicans and the Black Vote

I cannot put it any more plainly then as follows and I know it will make some people angry.  If you are only voting for Obama because of his skin color then you are just as guilty of racism as those radicals that bombed churches and killed innocents in the dark days of our countries battle with racism.

Alien abductions much better then an election abducted?

“What is Obama going to do if aliens attack us? Sit down with them and
talk and say, ‘Please don’t blow up our landmarks.’ He doesn’t even
speak alien!”
                                                                                 ---IMAO.US

Voter Fraud is out of control in some areas.  Looking at the actions of Ohio's Secretary of State you would think she is trying to deliver the state to Obama.

Here is a quote from the Columbus Ohio reporter Shelby Holliday

"One of the biggest issues? These voters didn't need to show ID or proof of residency in order to cast their ballot.

We witnessed dozens of homeless people being driven to the polls,
and none of them had to prove that they were Ohio residents. In fact,
one man I spoke with was about to hop on a Greyhound bus to go back to
Chicago."

I remember after the Gubernatorial elections in Washington(2004), thinking I should write a novel on how Islamic terrorists steal the presidential election through voter fraud and activist judges. I'm not saying Obama is an Islamic terrorist (I'm am leaving it unsaid that he could be a domestic terrorist), but it seems to be life has stolen my idea for a novel.

Talk About Disturbing

Released from PETA on 23 September

Burlington, Vt. - This morning, PETA dispatched a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of ice cream icon Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., urging them to replace the cow's milk in their products with human breast milk. PETA's request comes in the wake of news reports that a Swiss restaurant owner will begin purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers and substituting breast milk for 75 percent of the cow's milk in the food he serves. PETA points out to Cohen and Greenfield that such a move on their part would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their babies on factory farms and benefit human health at the same time.

If you donate to animal charities, make sure they don't support these madmen! I don't know whether I should laugh or vomit.

Ahmadinejad and Peace?

The World Council of Churches in partnership with the Episcopal Church are sponsoring an international dialogue between religious leaders and political Leaders. The theme of the dialogue is “Has not one God created us? The significance of religious contributions to peace.” Then here comes the interesting part, one of the guest speakers will be Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! Here are some quotes from Ahmadinejad;

"they have invented a myth that Jews were massacred."

"anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury."

What a peaceful man! I understand the idea of mending fences and fostering peace but some people by their prior statements exclude themselves from talks on peace

Here is a comment from the Mennonite Central Committee who will also be in attendance "MCC is troubled by reports of increased religious persecution in Iran and the expanding use of the death penalty to punish religious converts."

They are troubled that Iran is expanding the use of the death penalty to punish religious converts, TROUBLED!? As a Christian I will pray for Iran and their president, based on my own interactions in Islamic country's I can tell you that I love my Arab brothers and sisters... but I am more then troubled by the persecution of members of any faith.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the way this dialogue is being executed.

Sorry?

I'm all for apologizing when we err, but the Church of England is now apologizing to Darwin!? DailyMail

The tragic part of this is (Pay close attention to the Bold):

Church officials compared the apology to the late Pope John Paul II’s decision to say sorry for the Vatican’s 1633 trial of Galileo, the astronomer who appalled prelates by declaring that the earth revolved around the sun.

The officials said that senior bishops wanted to atone for the vilification their predecessors heaped on Darwin in the 1860s, when he put forward his theory that man was descended from apes.

The Church is also anxious to counter the view that its teaching is incompatible with science. It wants to distance itself from fundamentalist Christians, who believe in the Biblical account of the creation of the world in seven days.

An article to be posted on the Church’s website will say: ‘Charles Darwin, 200 years from your birth [in 1809], the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still.

Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? Here we have a church disregarding God's word and accepting a mans (A man with a theory at that!?) They misunderstood him? His theory suggests that the Bible is false and that is wrong, there is little there to misunderstand.

Forgiveness

Every two months I get excited about the mail, and the chance to pour through the recent issue of Foreign Policy (Yes I'm a nerd.) I don't always agree with what gets printed in its pages, but I do enjoy reading about world events from multiple view points.

In the most recent issue I was caught off guard reading an article on the Kim Jong Il the leader of North Korea written by one of his school teachers. What surprised me was the beauty of a man living out Jesus instructions to forgive one another. To my shame it just was not something I thought to find in an article about such a despicable person. Here are a few excerpts from the story.

Foreign Policy: The Secret History of Kim Jong Il
I never returned to North Korea, and I never saw my family again. A few years later, I heard from a well-placed South Korean minister that my family had been sent to a gulag and murdered, the innocent victims of my treasonous crime. To this day, I know nothing of the details of their deaths, or whether they blamed me as they perished.

If Kim Jong Il ever realizes that opening up North Korea is in his
interest, I will return to Pyongyang the very next day. I want to
devise the best education system in the world based on my observations
and experiences in Seoul and the United States. But I am already more
than 75 years old. I can feel myself growing weaker by the day. Before
I grow so infirm that my experiences become useless, I would love to
meet Kim Jong Il one last time and give him one last lesson. I, who
became a university professor thanks to his father; I, who traveled to
Russia, Seoul, and now Washington. I no longer loathe him. I pity him.
Even though he killed my family, I have already forgiven him.

I can not imagine losing my family in such away. The man's crime was nothing more then visiting with his sister who escaped N. Korea and chose to live n the U.S. Here is a man who has lost his wife, children, and seen the evils Kim Jong Il has carried out on the people of N. Korea and his reaction is to pray for him and forgive him.

Many of us don't have any trouble forgiving a person when they come to us and ask for it, though we rarely think to forgive until that moment. How small are those infractions that we hold onto, waiting for the words "I'm sorry" from a friend or loved one?

Contrasts

The main story depicted on CNN.com today is the story of an unwed mother. The main story on Yahoo.com/news we see the events of Gustoff. Which is the more concerning issue here? That the GOP VP pick's daughter is pregnant, or that there was real damage done in New Orleans (Thanks be to God it was limited) and our brothers and sisters there need our help... I'll let you decide.

As far as the young girl being pregnant; who cares! True, as I saw in one report it goes against conservative values. What's not true is it should require Palin to resign the GOP VP position. It does not show a lack of judgement in Senator McCain, in all reality it does not change anything in regards to the election in November.

Here is a stark contrast... President Bill Clinton, not his daughter, but the POTUS engaged in an affair while in office! What was the liberal left's reaction to that?

The liberal bloggers will have there day, and try to rain on the RNC. Let them go, let them have their fun, I'm sure in the next month we can count on another Michael Moore documentary this time on Palin (I just want to know when he's going to get around to a documentary on obesity). When you are challenged by your liberal Friends on the actions of a 17 year old girl turn the discussion back towards real issues. Here's a question they never have an answer for "Which of Obama's policies have you read online that will benefit you if you were to vote for him?" (I know I would get $2000 if he keeps his word...what's the going price of a man's soul these days anyway?)

Cold War II

Over shadowed by the POTUS 08 race is the real news. Russia invading a country most of us have never heard of (Unless your a fan of the video game Splinter Cell.) Russia is moving on a course that is very scary and looks to me a hard course to reverse. They I think have realized how bad a mistake they have made and thrown some wild accusations out there blaming Israel and even the U.S. for getting them into a war.

Vladimir Putin accuses Bush of provoking Georgia conflict to help John McCain - Times Online
In his most explosive allegation since the South Ossetia crisis erupted, the Russian Prime Minister said that the United States had provoked the conflict to aid the Republican candidate, who is an outspoken critic of the Kremlin.

What is truely concerning about the events is the allegiances Russia is seeking. Thank you China for supporting the West on the situation on Georgia.
Asian alliance rebuffs Russian plea for support - Yahoo! News
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan – China and several Central Asian nations rebuffed Russia's hopes of international support for its actions in Georgia, issuing a statement Thursday denouncing the use of force and calling for the respect of every country's territorial integrity.

Now let's hope that Russia dosn't proceed along the path some are advising in Russia. That they set up allegiances with Iran. Battleships facing off, U.S. missle defenses going up in Poland, and Russia calling on old freinds like Cuba.

Education Over Life

Something Senator Obama said Thursday night stood out among his normal make the world feel happy but don't say anything while doing it speeches. He stated that it is our "moral obligation to provide our children with a world class education." I wish I had the opportunity to question him at that point in his speech.

Which children Senator Obama? Come on people! This is the guy who told Rick Warren that defining the beginning of life is "above your pay grade." (Please someone close to Obama slap him and explain to him that he is running for President of The United States!) The abortion debate aside, I think any sane person can agree once a baby is born alive that it should be protected under U.S. law.

CitizenLink: Obama Blocked Born Alive Infant Protection Act
My friend stood in Obama’s path and said, “Senator, we are going to pass Born Alive here in Illinois this year.”

Obama smiled smoothly and agreed, “I think you will,” adding, “I would have voted for the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois had it been worded the same as the federal bill. I think that’s the position the Democrats should take.”

There’s just one thing he forgot to mention: Obama had stopped his committee from adding the federal wording.

With Obama no longer in the state Senate, the Born Alive legislation passed in 2005.

Senator Obama which children is it our moral obligation to provide a world class education to? What about the children you allowed to die in a closet of a hospital, when do they get a world class education, where is the change they can believe in?

Restoring America's Moral Authority??

So listening to a speech from the DNC this week I heard someone and I can't remember who say that Obama was the candidate to restore our Country's moral authority. That is really funny in light of his pick for Vice President. As I learned Monday from some good freinds Joe Biden has a strange moral compass.
Take into consideration his speech in 1987 Where he blatantly plagiarized a speech made by Neil Kinnock only a few months earlier. Not only did he steal another man's ideas and present them as his own, he also lied, and then told the New York Times that is was not malevolent.
Biden Admits Plagiarism in School But Says It Was Not 'Malevolent' - New York Times
In addition, Mr. Biden said that in his talks invoking that speech, by Neil Kinnock, the Labor Party leader, he had miscast some of his own forebears, painting them as having rather more humble origins than they in fact did. For example, borrowing Mr. Kinnock's sentiments, Mr. Biden had said he was ''the first in his family ever to go to university.'' In fact, Mr. Biden said today, ''there are Finnegans, my mother's family, that went to college.''

The same article from the Times also found that Biden in college ''used five pages from a published law review article without quotation or attribution'' in one of his college papers!Sounds to me like Obama made an outstanding choice towards restoring our Country's moral authority. (Sarcasm intended)

Anger -- It's Okay Even on Sundays

Some have asked me lately what I meant in my introduction by "I am a Christian, and I have a passion to restore a more masculine
image to the Christian Church (sorry ladies, but church has become way
to feminine and it needs to reverse direction)".
Therefore today I would like to expand a little on this subject. Truthfully its no one thing, and men we have nobody to blame but ourselves for the decline in masculinity in today's church.

I'm not sure how or why but somewhere along the road Christianity has been labeled as a place where anger is a taboo. Men get angry (Jesus got angry and I'm certain HE still does), a place or a group that doesn't allow anger is a strange and uncomfortable place for a man to be. This is an image churches need to change, that the pew is a place where its okay to cry and grab a tissue, but anger is a 4 letter word.

Some women may not understand this so I will offer two examples one is a quote and I cannot remember who said it so forgive me there, "Telling a man not to get angry is like telling a woman to stop crying". The second example comes from my own children (and I imagine yours are the same). My son is 3 and when he is missing dad or having a hard time with something he reacts in anger, my daughter who is 2 cries out.

Okay men PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS PART. Anger is okay but it needs to come from the right place; James 1:19-20

19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

Be angry when you read about babies murdered in the womb, when you observe unjust and unfair treatment of others, when you see our youth trapped in the grips of drugs and sex. Getting angry when you get cut off on the highway "does not bring about the righteous life that God desires".

Men lets take back the church, lets step up and with a righteous anger show the world that we are not a bunch of soft spoken intellectuals but men the same as any other only carrying a hope that comes from God Himself.

Human Suffering

A recent reader of Fractured Perspicacity asked the question "what kind of God would let innocent children suffer"? The bigger question is if God allows suffering why would I follow Him? This is perhaps one of the most difficult things to answer, its not difficult because the answer is not available from God, but because its a hard thing to hear, especially when you are suffering.

First of all Christians know that God is omnipotent (has absolute power), and loves his creation (us). Therefore it seems incomprehensible to a non-christian that the world in the state that it is would have been made by an all powerful, loving God. If God is all powerful how can anything happen that opposes God's will.

To use an example from C.S. Lewis. Anyone who has been a parent can understand That something can be in accordance with your will, and not in another way. Meaning it can be your will that your children clean their room, and in fact learn to clean it on their own. However you may find a toy left out of the toy box which is against your will in that the room is no longer clean, but you gave them the freewill to learn to clean on their own.

Alright, so that makes a bit of sense but how does it apply to human suffering? Well that's a little tricky so follow close. God created us with free will meaning we have the choice to either go wrong or choose to be right. Free will is what caused us to lose the world to the enemy, and through our sin we are the cause of suffering in the world. We made the initial mistake and continue to mess up daily (whether you are a Christian or not you are still sinning).

So why did God make us with a free will if innocents would suffer because of it? Well, I'm guessing He found that it was worth the cost. Many people think that they cannot love a God who allows suffering and they are saying in a sense that they know better then God so I'll end with this;

Romans 9:20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?

Discipleship -- Hanging Onto The Edge

Recently me and Melissa enjoyed a dinner date without the children, and had some time to visit the book store. I picked up two books, and the one of most interest to me at this time is called Religious Literacy. In its most basic form it is a scientific look at the lack of knowledge Americans have regarding any faith. For Evangelical Christians it is a sobering example of how we have dropped the ball in regards to discipleship.

Those of you who have found salvation, and then been left to fend for yourselves with little or no help from mature Christians raise your hands (Okay now put them down because you look really silly). I was there, for a long time I was on fire for Christ without any direction, and then slowly I started to back slide. I thank God all the time for my Wife, and South Hill Calvary for pulling me back up the slippery slope I found myself on. Is it any wonder then if we are failing to care for new Christians to the faith that a survey showed that most Protestants were unable to name all 4 Gospels?

Here it is folks! Knowing the name of the 4 Gospels is not the end of the world, a church that does not pray, a body that doesn’t read God’s word however… I can only quote the wicked Witch of the West “Oh -- what a world, what a world.” Discipleship is a process; it does not rest in the hands of Sunday school teachers, preachers, ministers, it is a PROCESS THAT BELONGS TO ALL OF US.

Are you doing your part?

What is Fractured Perspicacity

Last night Melissa asked me what Fractured Perspicacity means after reading my first Blog post, and after I explained it, she questioned why I would choose that as a name. Mostly I chose it because I am a weird, sarcastic kind of guy. However since she asked, I have been thinking about it a lot and I do have reason for it.

It is nothing more than a fancy way for me to describe the state of the world from my understanding. In the simplest breakdown it means broken understanding, and that is exactly how I see the people around me perceiving their world, with a broken understanding of the events around them. We (The people of this earth) have gone far too long without questioning people we consider to be in authority or hold expert opinions, and we have allowed them to break our ability to understand and perceive the world around us. Let’s look at some examples.

The Theory of Evolution being taught and believed as law. Please read that previous sentence again and pay attention to the highlighted words before closing your mind to another Christian striking down evolution. I constantly here comments like "what’s wrong with teaching evolution, its science," (Which it is). The problem is when people make comments like this they are often expressing that they shouldn't doubt or question science. Sure, evolution is science (doesn’t mean its right), Intelligent design is science as well (doesn’t mean that’s right either). The media, scientists, evolutionists have broken the world's (That’s you and me folks) understanding of where we came from because why would anyone question a science text book, or what a Dr. in the field of evolution says as truth.

Here is one of my favorite broken understandings out there; Christians are intolerant and hate (insert any sin here but reference the sinner not the sin). Christians DO NOT HATE ANYONE. Most hate evil and sin (even the sins we find ourselves trapped in). Despite the attempts by certain groups to tie the two together; I can say that homosexuality is wrong and still have love for homosexuals. I can say the Islam is false, and still love my Muslim brothers. We practice this type of intolerance everyday in America but no one bats an eyelash unless its Christians saying they believe something is wrong. We tell drug addicts what they are doing is wrong, and yet we help them to recover (translated: showing them love). Damn you rehab clinics and your intolerant ways!!!

It’s about time we fixed our fractured perspicacity. I say this to everyone out there whether you are Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic, Wiccan, Pagan, Searching, it doesn’t matter; You need to challenge life, challenge ideas, and NEVER allow society to determine your understanding of the world.

Introductions

Feeling a tad left out that I am one of the few people I know without a blog to neglect I find myself here typing. I wish I could tell you I had a plan or direction for this Blog, but alas i don't. I imagine it will contain humor, politics, thoughts on life, and what not. I'm not a gifted writer so please don't read expecting anything amazing or utterly profound.

In order to start the introductions, please stand up, walk away from your computer and shake hands with someone. Well you are doing this it would be advisable to greet them and have a nice chat. I imagine this may shock a few people who have not seen the face of a live person in some time unless through a web cam or similar device.

So who am I, you ask? Just some dude with a computer, and a soap box on certain days of the week (being a man, mostly on days I have been disrespected). I am a Christian, and I have a passion to restore a more masculine image to the Christian Church (sorry ladies, but church has become way to feminine and it needs to reverse direction). I am a Husband to a beautiful, wonderful, serving, Christ loving, great, awesome, (Insert any other words of praise here) woman. I am also a father of two wonderful, sugar monsters, also known as children.

Well, that about sums it up, if I am on target with other Bloggers you should expect something more in 2-3 months.
