To be born again?: Christian children pray
at the destroyed church of St. Rum’s in Baghdad’s Karrada neighborhood
on Oct. 16, 2004. On that day, five churches in Baghdad were attacked
in a series of pre-dawn bombings. These children might represent the
future of Christianity in Iraq, but given the exodus of the past five
years, the fate of the next generation seems to be in God’s hands.
