That Blog Thing
It's been 8 months since I last posted on here. I doubt anyone ever comes here to check on things anymore. Regardless I am going to start blogging again. I am going to try a commit to posting something once a week, and see how it goes from there. I would make this my New Years resolution but, then we know it would be destined for failure.

Thoughts from Korea
Korea has been about what I have expected so far. It's not a bad place to be the hardest part of being here is the separation from my lovely wife and kids. I have learned to talk to God a lot more while be here, but recently have had trouble with my daily devotionals (that needs to improve!) I miss out on so much news with the time difference and as my brother said recently the news is so depressing lately why bother.
I have come across a couple stories of interest, one being the tax hike on cigarettes. I am not a smoker and I can't stand the habit myself, but I just can't help but feel there is something fundamentally wrong with taxing a small percentage of the population to pay for a government program. I understand why they did it, it is easy to tax something the populace sees as a bad thing, however I think a tax on alcohol would have covered a larger group of people and done a better service to the country then taxing cigarettes.
The other story of interest is the bailout of the auto companies. It just seems wrong that the president or any part of government is now telling a company what to make, and how to run a business. We are just inching closer and closer to socialism in our country and for those who ask "Whats wrong with that?" Please go and read animal farm again.
More from me later. Those interested in an easy game to share with friends click here

Hello From Korea
I'm still alive, and still plan on blogging. I have simply been busy and overwhelmed with everything that is going on in life these days. I am in Korea now and currently deployed to Daegu in support of FOAL Eagle, a defense exercise.
Yesterday me and my counterpart MSgt Marshall went to visit the city of Daegu and experience some Korean culture. We explored two blocks of a restaurant district and settled on a Chinese restaurant. Then we walked around a lake and climbed up a foot hill of Mt. Apsen looking for a Tomb that was noted on our map. After we got to the top (and it was a very steep climb) we found a Korean couple who led us down the easy way to where we started and the tomb was like 30 yards away.
Later we went to Mt. Apsen park, and the coolest part of the day was when a Korean lady came up to witness to me, she struggled with english and I could tell she was nervous. I was so amazed at her spirit in seeking out foreigners to her country to share the good news with. I was able to tell her in korean that God is great. Such a cool expereince.
Hopefully it will not be 2 month's before I have something to blog about again. I'm sure soon I will have more time to read the news and find plenty of stuff to be angry about. ;)
